Red bean paste

Now this is another of my fav Korean desert. Simply yet yummy !!!!!!

All u need is some red beans, sugar n water :)

Get some red beans (a cup or two) n soak them in cold water for a few hours. Now cook them in a pressure cooker to make it fast or boil them in some water ( this would take longer .. hrs instead of mins) Smash the beans well so that it forms a nice paste. Now use a strainer to remove the peel frm the paste. This part is a bit time consuming n tedious, however the more effort u put in the btr ur desert is gonna taste :) You can add some water to the paste to help sieve. Collect the fine paste, add some water n sugar to it and heat it up. Once it starts to boil keep stirring. After a while it tickens.

If u like it hot go ahead n try or else refrigerate it once it cools down. Top it up with some almond, cashew or any such nuts when serving depending on ur taste.

  1. ahloo again... the recipe is very easy and I wanna try it sometime.. but I feel that its somehow funny to make dessert outta beans.. he he.. and abt me coming to SG, I soo want to do it, but there are resource shortages...
